Image: "Cuppa Tea"

"Cuppa Tea"

This colored pencil art piece was based on a photo shoot, at home, involving a porcelain tea jar, a tea cup, and fruit.  Multiple rearrangements of the items, to arrive at this particular composition.  The shadow edges on the right are deliberately made to disappear into the back ground, so attention remains focused on the highlighted areas.

"Glowing Memories" image

"Glowing Memories"

"Glowing Memories" is a colored pencil painting on Canson Mi Teintes pink paper.  !8"H x 14"W.  It is based on a series of photos I took of the Tiffany lamp and other objects.  The idea was to show the brilliance of stained glass work and the glow it creates.

Image: Abstract in Emerald Green & Peach

Abstract, Emerald Green & Peach

Another evolving abstract, with a purely abstract back ground, and geometric patterns above, in complementary colors.  Here, the underlying color was a variety of peach tones, while the patterns above are emerald green, cerulean blue, alizarin crimson, etc.

Abstract in Orange & Purple

This is the later version of the abstract previously posted: stronger color accents, featuring the purple which is subtly mixed into the grey background underneath the entire painting.

ABSTRACT, ORANGE & BURNT SIENNA

Here, I've added geometric patterns to a purely abstract painting.  The grey background is not actually grey: instead, it is the complementary color of orange, blue,  in a subdued hue.  Oil on wood panel.  10"H x 10"W.
